Invite Ravello, Italy into Your Kitchen with Pino Lavarra’s Long Awaited Cookbook

The much anticipated arrival of two star Michelin Chef Pino Lavarra’s cookbook, chef of Rosselini’s at Palazzo Sasso in Ravello is officially being released in 2011.  Lavarro’s Amalfi coast cuisine, coupled with breathtaking photos of the region make for a beautiful gift to yourself or your family and friends.

Lavarra shares his enthusiasm for his craft and his home in Ravello. He intimately knows and loves the region with its abundant seafood and bountiful produce from this fertile region. And now, you can recreate the recipes that have made a stay at Palazzo Sasso a memorable one.

The comprehensive cookbook is more than just recipes, it’s an homage to Ravello and the Amalfi Coast.  Each chapter is devoted to a food distinctive to the region.  From “Fruit de Mare” (fruits of the sea) to olives, lemons and citrus fruits, Lavarra takes you up into the cliffs of Ravello and invites you to recreate his favorite meals.

Lavarra has been creating gastronomical wonders for hotel guests and other visitors keen to sample the finest cooking available in this region of Italy.  His special menu marries innovation with traditional ingredients.

The cook book is set to come out this year.

Awarded with the highest of ratings by all the major Italian restaurant guides and two stars by the coveted Michelin guide, Rossellinis is under the creative direction of Executive Chef Giuseppe (Pino) Lavarra.   Chef Lavarra’s background also includes working as the Chef de Partie with Raymond Blanc at the world-renowned Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons in Oxfordshire, England.    And just prior to his return to Palazzo Sasso, Chef Lavarra was Chef de Cuisine at Grissini’s in London’s upscale Cadogan Park, an Italian fine dining establishment.
