On Laucala we can reflect on a good year that passed, with a beautiful tropical festive season with wonderful guests and families on island. It is so nice for all of us here to see how everything comes together, after only being open for a bit more than 18 month. We are receiving wonderful comments from our guests which motivates the entire team. My favorite comment from our guest book is “Laucala is a poem to the soul” … I was once asked to describe Laucala in one sentence, which I truly struggled do so, but I guess this encompasses the spirit quite well.
The soul of the island is created by each individual of our team member, this is what makes the island so special. One strong emphasis for us to motivate our employees always was and is our variety of educational programs, detailed trainings for our departments, which have become a regular institution.
In our letter we will talk about these accomplishments of our team members in various departments, about new projects we will launch this year (one of them will be Laucala chocolate bars for all sweethearts), various activities, children programs, new team members with their goals and many more topics. Not missing out on the facts and information of the resort. We also want to share some impressions from recent articles about Laucala, to bring you our island philosophy a bit closer.

Another awesome post for our “Just Back” series. This week we’re featuring Fabio Castellotto who recently returned from a relaxing and fun-filled trip to Laucala Island, Fiji. Fabio is the General Manager of Casto Travel Leisure Department, and a seasoned traveler. He visited Laucala with a friend in September. Here is the great feedback we got from Fabio :
Laucala is something else…nothing I have seen in my traveler life compares to it… I was blown away- from the moment they picked us up in Nadi, the Airplane, beautiful twin engines…to the moment we spotted the Island from the sky… Then we arrived and everything else that followed in those 2 days opened my eyes to one of the most beautiful places I have seen in the world…
Nothing in the Caribbean can compare…or in the Maldives….or in Africa.. This is an entire large Island becoming your playground and transforming you into a Robinson Crusoe of the 21st century.
The staff is just unbelievable, very attentive and well trained…Simon, Maya, Mary, Katherine, Michele are doing a great job in training and keeping the level as high as possible. The Italian chef was so surprised to speak to another “Italian”….we had quite a series of lunches and dinners. The Golf course is quite an amazing experience as well…as the 4 motorized beautiful boats…the Jet Ski…what fun! And all included in the cost. At the end, counting the services offered in the cost of the stay, the rates become much more affordable to many of our clients.
Big thank you to you and a HUGE THANK YOU! to everyone at Laucala… please give them my best, they all are very special people in a very special place.
