Clayoquot Wilderness Resort has come up with a great plumbing plan that will accommodate some of the guests’ “potty problems” and concerns– AND EVEN BETTER– it won’t harm the Sound or local wildlife.
In the past, the resort’s guests had to take the small trek to the showers and outdoor compost toilets. Because Clayoquot is located on Bedwell River’s estuary, there are virtually no surrounding cities thus no surrounding modern plumbing.
But now, word is that 12 of the 20 tents located on the main side of the camp will be renovated. Each bathroom will reportedly include:
- Floor heating
- A flush toilet
- A large indoor/outdoor shower with double water-heads
So if the idea of an outhouse-style bathroom is a little iffy to you, you need not wait any longer — these new ensuite bathrooms will be ready at the start of the 2011 season! Clayoquot’s glamorous camping, or “glamping” ground will be EVEN MORE luxurious than it already is.
