Travel Advisor Julie Jones has one only word to describe her stay at Buenos Aires’ Alvear Palace Hotel. “Spoiled.”
“I truly felt pampered,” says Julie. “While Alvear Palace – the grand dame of Buenos Aires — is an absolutely beautiful hotel, the service is what really makes every guest feel like royalty. From the doorman’s warm welcome to the attentive service of my private butler, I truly felt pampered.
“I also loved seeing the pride local residents feel for Alvear Palace. During my stay, I enjoyed afternoon tea, attended mostly by local residents. It is so nice to partake in a tradition loved by the people who live there.
“The location of Alvear Palace Hotel is perfect – upscale shops and restaurants surround the hotel. Upon arrival, I traveled one block to a gorgeous little park having a weekend festival – I enjoyed the music, wonderful food and bought souvenirs from artists’ booths. Afterward, I worked out in the fitness room and enjoyed a bubble bath in the largest whirlpool I have ever seen. It was glorious.
“That evening, I enjoyed dinner at Alvear Palace’s Michelin restaurant. Again, the service was seamless, and my steak, spectacular.”
