Upon arrival, stepping off the plane to see staff lined in waiting, singing in welcome, I cry. Upon departure, seeing staff lined once again, singing in good-bye, I cry. And inbetween visits, when I think of the beauty and heart of Laucala, I cry.
Laucala Island, Fiji, is heavenlike. And for me, it’s always as if I’d never been before –there’s just so much to love: the arrival, so welcoming, with staff singing in greeting; the plane ride in from Nadi – just seamless, not to mention breathtaking; housekeeping, a level above, and laundry so beautifully presented. Golf buggies for everyone –awesome. And the pool, and pool within the pool – so tranquil, serene. Who doesn’t want to play there.
I love too, the cultural village visit, meeting the friendliest people on earth, conversing with them, learning their heritage, immersing. I love the nightly pillow notes; yoga platforms in the rooms – so great; the diverse dining options; the spa; even the cold glasses in the frig. And the staff, so special.
