Not long ago, I spoke with a previous Sheen Falls Lodgeguest who shared a memory. A memory that I love.
During the woman’s visit to Sheen Falls, she ordered tea to her room. When the server arrived, she told him “not to fuss, that she just wanted a cup of tea on her side table, and didn’t need anything else.”
But her tea bearer – starch-white tablecloth in hand – was insistent.
“Please. Allow me. It will be so much better with a tablecloth.”
And so she stepped back and allowed him to do his magic.
“It was the best tea I’ve ever had,” she says. Because I stopped. Took in the experience. Sat for an hour and just enjoyed my tea, the white table cloth and the treats.”
