May – and springtime – means the reopening of Clayoquot Wilderness Resortin Vancouver. I love the Clayoquot (May-September) season. The fresh Canadian air. The peacefulness of being one with nature. I love Clayoquot’s sexy safari-style canvas tents, complete with stylish bathrooms – my style of ‘camping.’
And I love the cuisine, so fresh. The adventures. And the romance.
Two seasons ago, JCR’s very own Julie Cardamone took a vacation to Clayoquot with her husband, Dave. Where they renewed their wedding vows.
“Five years prior, we had said ‘I do with 150 friends and family, so this time we wanted to say it again – with just us – and the eagles, sea lions, whales, and bears,” Julie recalls. “We said we wanted to find somewhere private to just be together and say our vows, so the staff arranged for us to do the `Wild Side’ excursion privately. During the hiking portion, our guide showed us a little path we could walk down and have some time alone.”
